I went to a Jewish summer camp as a kid for a good number of years, and the main game there was Ga-Ga. When the game starts they throw up the ball and shout, "1, 2, 3, GA-GA GO!" Many of the hardcore players would often get bloody knuckles, since the arenas were old and made of wood. They'd end up scraping their fists on the wood when hitting the ball. Though no one I saw was ever hit in the face as badly to spit blood (you weren't allowed to hit above the knees) it still makes for a complimentary concept. Classic childhood fun.
